Tim Cook just dropped a cryptic teaser on X (formerly Twitter), and the Apple fanbase is buzzing. The video simply states: "There’s something in the Air." If history is any indication, we all know what that means—a new MacBook Air is on the way!
What to Expect from the New MacBook Air
Rumors and leaks suggest that Apple is gearing up to launch the M4 MacBook Air in both 13-inch and 15-inch variants, carrying forward the sleek and lightweight design we love, but with some serious performance boosts under the hood.
Here’s what’s likely coming:
🔹 M4 Chip Performance Gains – Expect faster CPU and memory speeds, plus the ability to handle even more demanding tasks efficiently.
🔹 More RAM, More Power – The current MacBook Air tops out at 24GB of RAM, but the M4 model is expected to push that limit to 32GB for even smoother multitasking.
🔹 Better Camera – Say hello to a 12MP Center Stage camera, bringing pro-level video calls to your everyday workflow.
🔹 Dual External Display Support – Unlike the M3 MacBook Air (which can power two external displays only with the lid closed), the M4 model will let you use two external monitors while keeping the built-in display active—just like the entry-level M4 MacBook Pro.
But Wait… What About the iPad Air?
Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman suggests that while the MacBook Air refresh is first on the list, Apple might throw in a new iPad Air at the same event. Given that current iPad Air stock is running low, this combo launch could be happening sooner than expected.
All eyes are now on Apple’s official announcement. Stay tuned—big things are coming this week!
