How to Transfer WhatsApp from iPhone to Android

Method 1: Using WhatsApp’s Official Transfer Feature

This method works for Android 12+ devices or Samsung phones with Smart Switch.

Steps:

1. Reset Your Android Device (if already set up)

   • WhatsApp transfer only works during the initial setup of your Android phone.

   • If you’ve already set it up, factory reset it (Settings → System → Reset).

2. Connect Your iPhone and Android

   • Use a USB-C to Lightning cable to connect both phones.

   • If prompted on your iPhone, tap "Trust This Computer".

3. Start the Transfer

   • On your Android, follow the setup instructions.

   • When prompted, scan the QR code on your iPhone to start the transfer.

4. Complete Setup

   • After the transfer, download WhatsApp on your Android, log in with the same phone number, and restore your chats.
